What makes a winter weekend here

Warm space of your own

Cook at your own pace, spend the evening in the living room and make the cottage your base for the weekend.

Enough time for a short break

Two nights give you time for a local walk, a meal in Strangford and a relaxed evening back at the cottage.

Options whatever the weather

Mix coast and estate walks with indoor visits in Portaferry or Downpatrick if the weather changes.

Close to the cottages

Make the most of shorter days

Walk at Castle Ward or beside the coast during daylight, stop in Strangford for lunch, or take the ferry to Portaferry. Exploris, the Saint Patrick Centre and Down County Museum provide useful indoor choices for colder or wetter days.
